At Signature Vacations we work with several major airline partners to help put together your vacation package including Skyservice, WestJet, Air Transat, CanJet and Enerjet. The information listed on this page applies to Skyservice Airlines only. For complete details on any of our other airline partners please refer to their respective websites.
In the interest of safety, hand luggage limitations are strictly enforced. You are allowed one bag per passenger which cannot exceed 5kg (11lbs) in weight and 23 x 40 x 50 cm (9" x 16" x 20") in size.
The following items are allowed into the cabin of the aircraft in limited quantities:
- Liquids, gels and aerosols may be packed in your hand luggage providing they do not exceed 100ml. They must be placed in a clear, closed and re-sealable plastic bag no larger than 1 litre. Only one bag per person is allowed.
The following items are not allowed into the cabin of the aircraft or beyond the screening checkpoint and should therefore be packed in checked baggage:
- Knives of any length or description, cutting instruments of every kind including carpet knives.
- Box cutters and other folding or retractable blades regardless of blade length or composition, even those less than four inches, whether metallic or non metallic.
- Such items as ice picks, straight razors, elongated scissors or any other sharp or pointed object (darts, knitting needles, corkscrews).
- Toy guns or replica firearms will not be accepted under any circumstances.
- Sporting equipment.
Special Notes:
- Needles and syringes are exempt from the prohibitions listed above if the passenger also has in their possession medication that has a pharmaceutical or professionally printed label identifying the medication or a manufacturer's name.
- Passengers travelling with electronic devices, electrical equipment or battery operated devices must place these items in their carry-on for screening. Customers must show that the items are in good working order otherwise they will be confiscated by security. If a passenger fails to remove electronic devices from their checked baggage and the item is discovered during the screening, their baggage will be removed from the flight.
- Passengers may bring baby formula, food or milk onboard the cabin if they are travelling with a baby or small child under the age of 2 years. These items must be declared at each security checkpoint.
Luggage Allowance
For all flights, all luggage weighing in excess of 20kgs (44lbs) total will be surcharged at $20/kg.
Sporting equipment with no charge, up to 20kg
Golf Clubs; one bag per person containing no more than 14 golf clubs, 12 golf balls and 1 pair of golf shoes. Bicycles; one bicycle (handlebars must be fixed sideways and tires deflated) placed in a solid bag, box or other suitable travel case.
Scuba Equipment; one tank, air regulator, mask and set of fins. Scuba tanks must be empty of all oxygen and the pressure gauges protected. Skyservice recommends waiting at least 24-hours between the last dive and flight check-in time.
Sporting equipment; no charge up to 10kg
Kite Boards; kite board and power kite to a maximum of 150cm.
Boogie Boards; no longer than 5 feet.
Sporting equipment; additional charges
Windsurfing equipment; one windsurf board and/or one mast boom and/or one sail will travel at a rate of $100 CDN per round trip, per unit. A special request for windsurf equipment must be sent to Skyservice in advance as a limited quantity are able to travel on each flight. If the mast is more than 10 feet long it must be detached from the board, if the mast is less than 10 feet long it must be attached to the board.
Surfboards; are allowed for a fee of $100 per round trip, per unit providing they do not exceed 12 feet in length and 20kg in weight.
Kayaks; will be charged $100 per round trip, per unit.
Plastic bicycle bags that can also be used for properly packaged golf or scuba equipment are available at Skyservice counters for CDN$5 per bag.

Children's accessories & mobility aids
Children's accessories & strollers are accepted, one item per passenger, at no additional charge. Strollers will normally be taken at the cabin door for stowage in the cargo hold, and returned to the bridge on arrival. All other accessories are to be checked baggage and should be packed appropriately to prevent damage.
Wheelchairs and mobility aids will be accepted at no additional charge. Where possible, the passenger should use their own wheelchair up to the aircraft door from which point it would be stowed in the hold. On arrival, every attempt is made to have the wheelchair available at the door. Skyservice is not able to accept wheelchairs or mobility aids with spillable (wet) batteries
